上州座繰り糸は、一本一本に太さや張りのわずかな違いを含み、それぞれが異なる表情をもっています。

繊度の異なる座繰り糸を使い分け、その質感の対比を生かしながら、高機でゆっくりと織り上げています。

自然の色と糸が重なり合うことで、布の中に揺らぎと奥行きが生まれ、座繰り糸ならではの表情をもった手織布に仕上がります。

 

素材と向き合いながら工程を重ね、末永く寄り添う布となることを心がけています。

Each strand of Joshu zaguri silk carries subtle differences in thickness and tension, giving every thread its own distinct character.

By selecting and combining zaguri silk of varying fineness, the contrast in texture is brought into balance as the cloth is slowly woven on a traditional high loom.

As natural color and thread overlap, gentle variations and depth emerge within the fabric, resulting in handwoven textiles that express the unique qualities of zaguri silk.

By working closely with the material and carefully layering each process, the aim is to create cloth that will remain close to its wearer over time.
